The bees problem

You ever heard of The bees problem?

No, not the actual beekeepers’ problem. We are not talking about that here. I don’t know where I read this but I remember the crux of it.

Consider, all your aspirations are bees. Now our mind is such that we want to achieve a lot of things in life. You may want to write, but at the same time, you may want to learn How to pilot a plane. There is no end to our aspirations. Although, it’s a good thing, but do you want to become a jack of all trades, and MASTER OF NONE.

Learning a thing or acquiring a new skill demands your undivided attention, and although it may look daunting in the beginning but things will fall into places if you keep at it.

Killing the bees.

Yes, kill the bees one by one. Even I am struggling to do this. But you have to sit and write that fucking shit down. What do you want to learn? Is it worth it? Does it serve the purpose and help you in painting the bigger picture?

You have to find that one thing, that one goal. Now I am not saying that you kill all your aspirations.

But all your aspirations should serve to that one goal. It’s like you have one big aspiration and all your other aspirations, for lack of a better word here, are sub-aspirations.

Write it down, and if that sub-aspiration is not aligning with that one aspiration then use the bee approach and kill it or rise above it.

You wanted that car when you were 16 but now when you have the money to buy it, you don’t want it anymore.

More later.
